New Delhi: An all-party meeting is likely to be held on November 28 ahead of the winter session of Parliament. PM Narendra Modi may also attend the meeting. The winter session of Parliament is scheduled to begin next Monday, November 29. Like the Parliament sessions held in the last one and a half years, the winter session will also be held following the Corona Virus Protocol. There will be about 20 meetings throughout the session.

The Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs (CCPA) has recommended holding the Winter Session of Parliament from November 29 to December 23. The winter session of Parliament was not held last year due to the global epidemic Coronavirus, as well as the budget session and monsoon session. The Lok Sabha Secretariat recently said in a statement, "The 7th session of the 17th Lok Sabha will begin on November 29, 2021. Subject to the urgency of government business, the session is expected to end on December 23, 2021. The Upper House has issued a similar order.''

Both houses of Parliament - Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha - will function simultaneously and MPs will have to follow the rules of social distancing. The session is also crucial because it is being held ahead of assembly elections in five states, including Uttar Pradesh, which is considered politically important. On the other hand, the opposition may raise issues like price rise, hike in petrol and diesel prices, rise in edible oil prices, terrorist attacks on the general public in Kashmir, Lakhimpur Kheri violence that killed farmers to corner the government this winter session.
