Guwahati: PM Modi on Sunday assured the state of providing all possible help to deal with the situation created due to floods in Assam. Due to this flood, 81 people have lost their lives so far. PM Modi discussed Assam's CM Sarbananda Sonowal over the flood situation. He also inquired about the Corona situation and the ongoing efforts of Oil India to extinguish the fire in the Bagjan gas well.

Sonowal wrote in tweeting that, "Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, by phone conversation this morning, took information about floods in Assam, Corona epidemic situation and fire related situation in Bagjan oil well." Sonowal said, " PM Modi expressed concern for the state and solidarity with the people and assured to provide all possible help. "An Assam CMO official said that Sonowal has so far dealt with the problems faced by the people in the state Informed PM Modi about the steps taken.

Giving information in its bulletin in the morning, the Assam State Disaster Management Authority has told that 107 people have died in the state due to floods and landslides this year. Of these, 81 people died due to flood-related accidents and 26 people died due to landslides. Let us tell you that out of 33 districts of Assam, more than 27 lakh people have been badly affected in 26 districts and houses, crops, roads and bridges have been destroyed in many places.
