New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi today interacted with the winners of the Prime Minister's National Children's Award. The event was conducted at 12 noon with a madhyam of video conferencing. However, for the first time in 63 years, brave children will not attend the Republic Day parade. The series was continuing since 1957, but the children who received the National Bravery Award this year will not appear at Rajpath due to corona infection.

The children who spoke to PM Modi also include Shadab, the 11th student of Aligarh. The government is giving this award to children with exceptional qualifications and outstanding achievements. Under various categories of 'Bal Shakti Puraskar', 32 applicants from all over the country have been selected for PMRBP-2021. It has 7 awards in the field of art and culture, nine awards have been given for innovation and five for educational achievements, seven children have been awarded for sports category, three children for bravery and one child for their efforts in the field of social service.

Earlier, PM Modi had addressed NCC cadets, NSS workers and artists attending the Republic Day parade celebrations. He said that we did not have the opportunity to sacrifice everything for the independence of the country. But, definitely, we have the opportunity to give our best for the country. Whatever we can do well for our country, we must do so that India is stronger.
