New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi will participate in the Virtual Conference of Non-Aligned (NAM) countries on Monday i.e. on Monday. In this conference, the issue related to coronavirus scavenging will be discussed. Non-Aligned member countries are also struggling badly with the Corona infection.

Non-Alignment Movement, NAM is an international organization of countries. This movement was started by India's first PM Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, former Egyptian President Gamal Abdul Nasser and Yugoslavia President Josip Broz Tito. It was established in April 1961. NAM is the second-largest platform in terms of membership of nations globally after United Nations Association (UN). Currently, this organization has 120 members and 17 observer countries.

After the end of World War II, the world was divided into two factions under the leadership of America and the then Soviet Union (now Russia). If the American camp was going to follow the capitalist policies, then the Soviet Union camp was a supporter of socialist policies. At that time many countries of the world were independent and were preparing policies for their development and relations with other countries. These countries decided that instead of joining one faction and standing against the other faction, they would remain non-aligned so that their relations do not deteriorate. Asia, Latin America and African nations were involved in this movement.
