New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced the occasion of PM Narendra Modi's release of the next instalment of economic benefit under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Fund (PM-Kisan) on Friday as a festival. It has been targeted to ensure participation of one crore farmers in the programmes organized by it.
On this occasion, PM Modi will transfer more than 18,000 crore rupees to the accounts of more than 9 crore beneficiary farmer families. During the event organized through video conference, PM Modi will also interact with farmers from six states and share his experience with regard to Kisan Samman Fund and other initiatives taken by the Government for the welfare of farmers.
Union ministers, MPs, MLAs and other BJP leaders along with all elected public representatives will participate in the party's programmes across the country and also interact with the farmers. Earlier yesterday, PM Modi wrote in a tweet, "Tomorrow's day is very important for the country's annuities. More than 9 crore farmer families will have the privilege of releasing the next instalment of PM-Kisan through video conferencing at 12 noon. Farmers from several states will also interact with their brothers and sisters on the occasion."
