Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Lucknow today, (October 5) to inaugurate 'Azadi@75 - New Urban India โ€“ A Conference-cum-Expo at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan which aim to Transform Urban Landscape'. The inauguration of the conference-cum-expo is scheduled at 10.30 AM, where it will unveil 75 urban development projects in Uttar Pradesh. This is the third visit of the Prime Minister to the state in recent times and is considered to be a ground for launching the UP Election campaign.

As per details shared by the PMO, Prime Minister will digitally hand over keys of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban (PMAY-U) houses to 75,000 beneficiaries in 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh and will also interact virtually with beneficiaries of the scheme of Uttar Pradesh. He will flag off 75 buses under FAME-II for seven cities including Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Jhansi and Ghaziabad. The Prime Minister will also release a Coffee Table Book encompassing 75 projects implemented under various flagship missions of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The PM will also walk through the 3 exhibitions being set up in the Expo and announce the setting up of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Chair in Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow.

Union Housing & Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Puri, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, along with Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath andGovernor Anandiben Patel will also brace the occasion.
