New Delhi: PM Modi recalled Swami Vivekananda's historic speech in Chicago, U.S.A., in a tweet on Friday. On this day, in 1893, Swami Vivekananda made a speech on the land of the United States which has been recorded in the pages of history. In a series of other tweets, PM Modi also wrote about the 9/11 terror attack in the US.

In a tweet, PM Modi wrote that the day of September 11 is celebrated in India in two important ways, the first being the birth anniversary of Acharya Vinoba Bhave and the second in Chicago by Swami Vivekananda. Both great personalities have taught humanity a lot. He wrote, "Today, on 11th September we in India mark two important milestones.The Jayanti of Acharya Vinoba Bhave.The day Swami Vivekananda delivered his outstanding address in Chicago.These great men have a lot to teach the entire humanity."

PM Modi wrote that Vinoba Bhave was among the most true supporters of Mahatma Gandhi. He did a great job for social life and education, as well as an example to cow service. At the same time, PM Modi wrote that in 1893 Swami Vivekananda presented india's values to the world, which are the foundations of our country. I urge the youth to read the excerpts of his speech.
