New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi has greeted the Samajwadi Party (SP) patron and former CM of Uttar Pradesh Mulayam Singh Yadav on his birthday. PM Modi has tweeted that he has spoken to Mulayam Singh and wished him on his birthday. Mulayam Singh is celebrating his 82nd birthday today.
PM Modi tweeted and wrote, "I spoke to Mulayam Singh Yadav and wished him on his birthday. He is one of the most senior and experienced leaders of our country, who is enthusiastic about agriculture and rural development. I wish him a long and healthy life.” Even though there is no formal ceremony on this occasion in view of the epidemic, banners have been put up in the state capital to wish him a happy birthday.
The Mulayam Singh Youth Brigade set up a blood donation camp outside the SP office and distributed fruits to local hospitals. The veteran leader is unlikely to participate in the celebrations as he is facing health issues. His younger brother and progressive Samajwadi Party Lohia (Praspa) President Shivpal Singh Yadav has asked party workers to celebrate this day with simplicity.
