New Delhi: PM Modi has congratulated the countrymen for Guru Purnima. PM Modi tweeted on his official Twitter handle on Sunday, saying that today is the day to honor those gurus who made our lives meaningful. PM Modi tweeted, 'Many wishes to the countrymen on Guru Purnima. Today is a special day to show respect to the gurus who make life meaningful. On this occasion, my best regards to all the gurus.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has also congratulated the countrymen on this occasion. Amit Shah wrote on Twitter that, 'Guru's place in Indian culture is very respectable. Guru is a bridge that connects knowledge and disciple. A Guru, with his nectar of knowledge, provides the right direction and meaning to the life of a disciple by nurturing valuable qualities like religion and character. Best wishes to Guru Purnima.
Union Minister Prakash Javadekar also tweeted and congratulated Guru Purnima. He wrote that, 'Best wishes to Guru Purnima. Today on Guru Purnima, we all remember our gurus and bow to them. Without knowledge, knowledge should not be there. Only the guru paves the way for life. Let us tell you that in our country, Gurus have always been given a higher status than God. In the scriptures too, while describing the glory of the Guru, it is said that without the Guru's God does not match. Therefore, it is considered very important to have a Guru in life.
