New Delhi: PM Modi has written an emotional letter on the retirement of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has earned the title of the world's most successful cricket captain. In this letter written to Mahendra Singh Dhoni, remembering his contribution to Indian cricket, PM Modi wrote: "You will inspire the generations to come".
PM Modi has described Dhoni as an example of New India, where the family does not determine the fate of youth, rather the youth builds their own destiny. PM Narendra Modi said on the retirement decision of Mahendra Singh Dhoni that, 130 crore Indians were disappointed by this, but they are thankful to you for your contribution to Indian cricket in the last decade and a half. If you look at your cricket career through statistics, you are one of the most successful captains to take India to the top of the charts."
PM Modi further wrote, "Your name will be recorded in history as the greatest cricket captains and the best wicket-keeper. Your style of standing and ending the match in difficult times, especially for the 2011 World Cup finals will always be remembered for generations".
