PM Netanyahu says 'dawn of new era' for India-Israel’ in ceremonial reception at Rashtrapati Bhawan

New Delhi [India], Jan 15 (NT): in the wake of his six-day visit to India, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was granted a ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhawan following his delegation level talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other officials today.

 Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated that this is a dawn of a new era in an alliance between India and Israel.

"It began with PM Modi's historic visit to Israel that created tremendous enthusiasm; it continues with my visit here which I must say is deeply moving for me, my wife and the people of Israel. Heralds a flourishing partnership to bring prosperity, peace and progress for our people," Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu added.

The Israeli premier came with by his wife Sara and a 130-member delegation from different sectors, together with cyber, agriculture and defense.

On January 14, Prime Minister Modi and his Israeli counterpart were present at the ceremony to observe the official renaming of iconic Teen Murti Chowk as Teen Murti Haifa Chowk. Here the two head of government signed the visitor's book at the chowk,  which was received by Army Chief General Bipin Rawat and Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar (NT)
