BHOPAL: In Bhopal on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dropped a significant hint regarding the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code while criticizing the supporters of triple talaq.  He questioned the notion that if triple talaq were an inseparable tenet of Islam, why do countries like Pakistan, Indonesia, and Bangladesh not practice it? PM Modi emphasized the need for a Uniform Civil Code and raised concerns about different rules applying to different family members.

After the inauguration of five Vande Bharat trains in Bhopal, PM Modi addressed the grassroots-level party workers in Madhya Pradesh, a state heading into elections. He asserted that the BJP is not a party of individuals who issue orders from air-conditioned rooms but rather one where its members work tirelessly at the grassroots level. The country takes precedence over the party for BJP workers. PM Modi emphasized that there should be no clashes or personal conflicts at the booth level, and the primary focus should be on serving the people.

This public address marks PM Modi's first speech since concluding his six-day visit to the US and Egypt. After returning to India on Monday, he arrived in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday. The opposition questioned why he chose to visit poll-bound Madhya Pradesh instead of the strife-torn state of Manipur.

PM Modi urged party workers to be well-informed and said, "When you present something in comparison, people tend to remember it. Remind them of the challenges they faced to obtain gas connections before the Ujjwala scheme."

"Some individuals dedicate their lives solely to the party, driven by their own benefits. They choose the path of appeasement and rely on corrupt practices. They don't have to work hard because they receive a share from illicit money. Their politics thrives as long as the poor remain impoverished. The path of appeasement may have temporary success, but it ultimately creates divisions within society," PM Modi said.
