New Delhi: On the occasion of Jan Aushadhi Diwas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with Jan Aushadhi Kendra owners and beneficiaries of the Jan Aushadhi Yojana via video conferencing on Monday at 12:30 PM.
The interaction will be followed by the Prime Minister's address on the occasion, according to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). The event's theme is "Jan Aushadhi-Jan Upyogi." Jan Aushadhi week begins on March 1st across the country to raise awareness about the use of generic medicines and the benefits of the Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana.
This week has seen the organisation of several events, including the Jan Aushadhi Sankalp Yatra, Matri Shakti Samman, Jan Aushadhi Bal Mitra, Jan Aushadhi Jan Jagran Abhiyan, Aao Jan Aushadhi Mitra Baney, and Jan Aushadhi Jan Arogya Mela.
In accordance with the Prime Minister's vision of making medicines affordable and accessible to citizens, there are now over 8600 Jan Aushadhi stores across the country, covering nearly every district.
