New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the 400th Parkash Purab of Sikh guru Tegh Bahadur at Red Fort on Thursday, April 21. On the occasion, the Prime Minister will also issue a postal stamp and a coin.

PM Modi will also attend the samagam event's concluding ceremony to honour Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib's sacrifice.
The Government of India will host a grand event in the Red Fort grounds on April 20 and 21 to commemorate the 400th Prakash Gurupurab of the ninth Sikh guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The ceremony will be attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on April 20. A light show and a 'Kirtan' were held on the opening day of the event. To commemorate the auspicious occasion, up to 400 'ragis' will participate in a 'Shabad Kirtan.'
The Ministry of Culture will host the event in partnership with the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee. Guru Tegh Bahadur was the ninth Guru of the Sikh religion, reigning from April 1, 1621 until November 11, 1675.
