Wadhawan's company HDIL is accused of not repaying the loan of Rs 4355 crore from PMC Bank, due to which the bank's account holders are facing difficulties. The ED has seized assets worth Rs 3830 crore in the Rs 4355 crore scam involving Rakesh Wadhawan and Sarang Wadhawan and their associated companies, including two private aircraft parked at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. ED officials were shocked after receiving information about the use of these two aircraft from the airport authority.

One of these private aircraft was used by the Wadhawan family itself, while the other private aircraft were constantly used by Praful Patel. The special thing is that Praful Patel was also a minister at the centre at that time. The political atmosphere is hot for the assembly elections in Maharashtra at this time. In such a situation, it is no less than a major setback for Sharad Pawar and NCP. The BJP is attacking the NCP and the Congress over these issues.
