New Delhi: Union Minister Vijay Kumar Singh, a retired General at the age of 72, made a significant assertion concerning Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) on Monday. Speaking at a press conference during the BJP's 'Parivartan Yatra' in Rajasthan's Dausa, Singh expressed his belief that PoK will eventually become an integral part of India, seemingly of its own accord.

His comments came against the backdrop of India's successful hosting of the recent G20 summit in the national capital, which, according to Singh, showcased India's capabilities on the global stage.

Responding to a query regarding PoK, Singh reiterated his confidence that the region would naturally align itself with India in due time. He remarked, "It's merely a matter of time."

Singh also emphasized the grandeur of the G20 Summit, underscoring how it had underscored India's global presence and demonstrated the nation's prowess to the world at large.

Addressing reporters, he described the G20 leaders' meeting as unparalleled, with India, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, shining brightly on the international stage. Singh further noted that India had received commendation from all influential nations within the G20.

Focus on Poll-bound Rajasthan: Taking aim at the Congress-led administration in Rajasthan, Singh criticized the state for its perceived shortcomings in maintaining law and order. He also drew attention to the unfulfilled promises made by the Rajasthan Government to the state's youth and farmers. Singh explained that the BJP had organized the Parivartan Sankalp Yatra to connect with the people and listen to their concerns.

The PoK Dispute: The territorial status of PoK has remained a contentious issue between India and Pakistan since 1947. Geographically, it shares borders with Pakistan's Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces to the south and west, respectively. To the east, PoK is separated from the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
