Ghaziabad: Bhim Army Chief Chandrasekhar Azad along with his supporters were arrested from a village near Indirapuram and later forcibly thrown out of the district. Police suspect that Chandrasekhar's presence may lead to communal tension in the area. A senior official has given information in this regard.

The city Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar said that people belonging to a minority community had informed the police that Bzhim Army Chief Chandrasekhar could reach the area during Friday prayers. The people urged them to keep political leaders away from here. There was a tense atmosphere in the area after a video went viral.

In the video, it was claimed that the Ghaziabad Development Authority had destroyed a religious structure in the Makanpur area, but it was later discovered that only the fences had been removed. Kumar said, a rifle has been seized from Bhim Army Chief Chandrasekhar and a case has been registered against him under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act.
