Patna: There has been a political uproar over the arrest of BJP leader Jawahar Prasad in connection with the violence on Ram Navami in Sasaram, Bihar. The BJP has accused the Nitish government of deliberately implicating former MLA Jawahar Prasad. BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tarkishore Prasad said that the peace system of Sasaram was disturbed because of those who created anarchy on Ram Navami and the government is saving them. He has demanded immediate unconditional release of BJP leader Jawahar Prasad.

Former Deputy Chief Minister Tarkishore Prasad has strongly reacted to the arrest of former BJP MLA Jawahar Prasad and other leaders in Sasaram. He said that the government has deliberately taken action to implicate former MLAs and other leaders with a sense of revenge. He has warned the Nitish government that innocent people are being deliberately made accused in these incidents by appeasing a particular class. He demanded withdrawal of false cases against all innocent people and immediate and unconditional release of BJP leader Jawahar Prasad and others.

At the same time, former Union Minister and BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad also raised questions on the Nitish government regarding this issue. He said what is the meaning of arrest of Jawahar Prasad after a month of violence. The government came to know after so long that the former BJP MLA has to be caught. He has been implicated under the conspiracy. Let us tell you that on March 30, due to the procession of Durga Puja and Ramnavami, violence broke out between the two parties in Sasaram. The miscreants indulged in a lot of stone pelting, firing, vandalism and arson. So far 63 persons have been arrested in this case and two criminals have surrendered. However, many of these criminals have also got bail from the court.
