New Delhi: Winds have given relief from the heat in most of the states of the country including the national capital Delhi and North India. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to be pleasant in Delhi today (Sunday). According to the IMD forecast, there may be scattered rain with gusty winds in Delhi. Delhi-NCR will continue to get relief from heatwave and heat wave till the first week of May.  

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the effect of Western Disturbance, there will be a change in weather activities in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab for the next 3-4 days. Due to this, there are chances of light rain, thunder and drizzle along with strong winds. According to the Meteorological Department, light rain can be seen in the country's capital Delhi till May 4. Due to this, the maximum temperature may drop to 30 degree Celsius while the minimum temperature may remain up to 20 degree Celsius. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain with thunder today i.e. on Sunday. Due to the storm, the wind speed can be 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.

Rain and thunderstorm activities will be seen in Delhi till May 4. On the other hand, after May 4, the weather may once again see an increase in heat and temperature. On May 5, the maximum temperature of Delhi can be around 35 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature can be around 21 degree Celsius. Light to moderate rain activities are being seen in Madhya Pradesh for the last several days. The Meteorological Department said that winds can blow at a speed of 50 kilometers per hour in some parts of the state. At the same time, there may be hailstorm along with heavy rain in some places. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in some parts of Chambal, Gwalior, Sagar Jabalpur, Shahdol and Bhopal today i.e. on Sunday. 

At the same time, in Indore, Ujjain there may be drizzle with thunder and lightning at some places. Although, in the month of April itself, hot winds and heat waves start troubling in different regions across the country, but due to Western Disturbance, the weather of North India has changed and there is no possibility of heat wave. According to the IMD forecast, there will be respite from heat wave conditions in UP, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana. There is a possibility of rain in many parts of Jharkhand on 30 April and 1 May. According to weather forecast agency Skymet, during the next 24 hours light to moderate rainfall with heavy to very heavy falls at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Telangana, Karnataka, parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Coastal Andhra Pradesh Might be possible.
