New Delhi: Even before Diwali, pollution levels have increased in many cities of India including Delhi. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that the pollution situation may worsen on Diwali. However, firecrackers have already been banned in Delhi to prevent this. Yet, there are fears that people may burst crackers on the occasion of Diwali. Let's know how much pollution spreads by burning crackers and how much cigarette smoke is equal to burning a cracker.

A thousand bombs fought:-

According to the report, if you light a thread of 1000 bombs, it releases 38,540 micrograms/cubic meter of PM2.5 particles into the atmosphere. It's like burning 1,752 cigarettes.

Snake bullet:-

According to the report, burning snake bullets causes the most pollution. Burning a snake bullet releases 64,500 micrograms/cubic meter of PM2.5 particles. This is similar to burning 2932 cigarettes.

Chakri:-

If you light a Chakri, according to the report, 9,490 micrograms/cubic meter of PM2.5 particles are released. This is equivalent to the pollution of burning 431 cigarettes.

A kind of sparkling firework:-

According to the report, a flower light releases 10,390 micrograms/cubic meter of PM2.5 particles when burnt. This is similar to burning 472 cigarettes.

Pomegranate:-

According to the report, a pomegranate releases 4,860 micrograms/cubic meter of PM2.5 particles into the atmosphere when burned. So much pollution is like burning 221 cigarettes.
