Pooja Bhatt is one of the most popular actresses and directors in the entertainment industry. She remained in news for different reasons. Her life was surrounded by controversy. The actress is celebrating her Birthday Today. On her birthday have a look at her interesting journey in the industry.

Pooja was born on 24 February 1972 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She is the daughter of famous filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt. Pooja is the first child of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt. Pooja’s mother Lauren was the first wife of Mahesh Bhatt. She has two children with Mahesh Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt and Rahul Bhatt. Lauren and Mahesh Bhatt fell in love during school. After marriage, Lauren Bright's name was changed to Kiran Bhatt.

Pooja Bhatt remained in news for her love life. The actress has been linked with actor Ranvir Shorey. They were also in a live-in relationship for many years.  Their love story started during the film Jism as per the reports. Due to continuous fights and quarrels, they decided to part away their ways. You might be shocked but Pooja is married. Pooja married Manish Makhija in the year 2003. Both were married for 11 years but later they got divorced.

Before making it in filmmaking Pooja Bhatt also tried her luck in acting. She made her acting debut in the year 1989 with the film Daddy, which was directed by her father Mahesh Bhatt. Pooja was only 17 at that time. After this she acted in films like Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahi, Sadak and Zakhm. She has worked with famous actors of Bollywood, which includes the names of actors like Sanjay Dutt, Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan.  After this Pooja launched her production company 'Pooja Bhatt Productions' in 1996. As a director she has worked in various films like Holiday (2006), Dhoka (2007), Kajrare (2010) and Jism 2 (2012) and Paap.
