Sharmishtha Mukherjee, daughter of former President Pranab Mukherjee, has expressed concern over her father's poor condition. Sharmishtha wrote a letter on Twitter, exactly one year after her father received the Bharat Ratna. After one year, he is now seriously ill.
Sharmishtha Mukherjee tweeted, 'August 8 last year was the happiest day for me, because my father received Bharat Ratna. Exactly one year later, on August 10, he has fallen seriously. May God do everything good for him and give me the strength to accept both the joys and sorrows of life in the same manner. I sincerely thank everyone for their concerns.'
Apart from this, the condition of former President Pranab Mukherjee remains very critical. He has been placed on the lifesaving system. His brain surgery was done earlier. Mukherjee (84) was admitted to the military hospital on Monday afternoon and Covid-19 was also confirmed before the surgery. In the medical bulletin issued on Tuesday by the hospital, it was said that the condition of former President Pranab Mukherjee remains critical and he has been kept on life support system. The former president's brain surgery was done on Monday due to a blood clot. No change has been seen in his condition. At the same, his situation also remains fragile.
