Writer, poet, scriptwriter and lyricist Prasoon Joshi is celebrating his birthday today. He is very famous and people also give him a lot of love. As a lyricist, he started his career with Rajkumar Santoshi's film 'Lajja'. He then made his contribution to several hits like 'Hum-Tum', 'Rang De Basti', 'Taare Zameen Par'', 'Black', 'Delhi 6', 'London Dreams', 'Break Ke Baad', 'Teri Meri Khaani' and 'Satyagraha'. Prasoon was honoured with best lyricist award in Filmfare for the song 'Chand Sifarish' of the film 'Fanna' in the year 2007 and for the song 'Maa' he was honoured with the best musician award in the year 2008. Not only that, he wrote the script of the film 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' on the life of the great athlete Milkha Singh, which was given a lot of love by the audience.

Prasoon has received more than 400 national and international awards. Not only that, but he has also got the national award. The award was received by him in the year 2007 for the song 'Maa' and the film 'Taare Zameen Par' in 2013. Prasoon had gained popularity for his work at a very young age. His first book, 'Mein Aur Wo', was published when he was 17 years old and is currently CEO and chairman of the McCain Ericsson World Group.
