Kolkata: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) will receive a three-member team from the Trinamool Congress (TMC) fact-finding committee on Friday to discuss the Prayagraj case, in which five members of a family were discovered dead inside their home.

Dola Sen, Lalitesh Tripathi, and Saket Gokhale make up the delegation. According to police, five members of a family, including a two-year-old, were found dead inside their home on April 23 in Khevrajpur village, Tharwai region, Prayagraj district, Uttar Pradesh.

The bodies of five victims were found in the courtyard of their home, including a man, three women, and a small child, and their home was apparently set on fire following the murder. They were allegedly attacked with a sharp-edged weapon, according to police. The incident was discovered when neighbours noticed smells emanating from the residence and reported it to the authorities.

Raj Kumar (55), Kusum Devi (50), Manisha Kumari (25), Savita (30), and Meenakshi were the deceased.
