Jammu: Corona has been affected in many areas of the country. Preparations are underway to reorganize Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. It will be formed afresh on the lines of other Shrine Board of India. Local public representatives and Baridars will also get representation in it. Central Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has started the initiative for this. Board members have a term of three years, which is about to expire. Except for the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board in Jammu and Kashmir, other representatives have been included in the Shrine Board.

All the members of the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board are from outside Jammu and Kashmir. The advocates of giving opportunities to the local people in the Shrine Board believe that being outsiders, the members of the Shrine Board are unable to discuss local issues and problems. It also states that the demand for baridars has been going on for more than 30 years. In the past months, a meeting of the Baridars was held with IAS Umang Narula at Raj Bhavan, so that the problem of the Baridars could be resolved. However, this demand could not be overcome due to his departure to Ladakh.

The same effort has now been started again. It is worth noting that before 1986, only Baridar used to look after Mata Vaishno Devi. Subsequently, the Shrine Board came into existence. Preparations for the Amarnath Yatra in the state are being made loudly. All arrangements for the convenience and safety of devotees from Jammu to the holy cave are being finalized. However, the government has not yet clarified the situation regarding the date of travel. For this reason, the Railways has not yet released any list regarding the operation of new trains. There is no absolute certainty about it yet.
