President Ram Nath Kovind to attend centenary year celebrations of Bihar Legislative Assembly

Patna: The centenary year programme of the Bihar Legislative Assembly is being celebrated. The centenary year is a programme, so this time some special arrangements have been made. President Ram Nath Kovind will visit Patna to attend the function. Preparations are being made in full swing as the President will visit Patna on October 20 and stay for two days. A high label meeting was also held in the Assembly to prepare for the function in which the Speaker discussed all aspects.

The Assembly Speaker had also met CM Nitish Kumar at his residential office on Friday to discuss the same issue. Talking about the President's visit, Assembly Speaker Vijay Sinha said that since the assembly meeting was held for the first time on February 7, 1921, the building has dignity in view of which a number of functions are being organized in a phased manner. The president's arrival is prominent.

He also said that on 20th October, the President will rest at Raj Bhavan and on 21st October, the next day, he will attend the centenary programme of Vidhan Sabha Bhawan. Dinner and cultural function will be held on the same day. According to reports, a number of cultural ceremonies have also been organized in the process along with a joint meeting of the Bihar assembly and legislative council. The centenary year was inaugurated by CM Nitish Kumar and continuous efforts are being made by Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha to make it enormous.
