Mumbai: President Ram Nath Kovind has expressed grief over the incidents in Chembur and Vikhroli due to heavy rains in Mumbai. In fact, Ram Nath Kovind tweeted today, Sunday. In this tweet, he wrote, "Deeply saddened by the news of those died in these two incidents. My thoughts are with the bereaved families in this hour of grief. I wish you a successful relief and rescue operation.'' Let me tell you all that the low-lying areas including Chembur and Vikhroli in Mumbai have been inundated due to heavy rains. In fact, there are incidents of landslides and house collapses in these areas due to waterlogging.

So far, many people have died in these incidents. According to reports, 18 people have died in a wall collapse in the Chembur area while 5 people were buried in debris after a one-story house collapsed after heavy rains in Vikhroli. So far, NDRF teams are engaged in rescue operations at both these places.
