New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind's bypass surgery has been successful and his condition is now improving. After the president's operation on 30th March, he was kept under the supervision of doctors at the ICU of AIIMS. Now, in view of their recovery today, they have been shifted from ICU to a special room in AIIMS. If the doctors are considered, they are constantly monitoring their situation. The doctors are said to have advised the president to rest.

In a tweet, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said, "President Ram Nath Kovind has undergone a successful bypass surgery at Delhi AIIMS. I congratulate the team of doctors for the successful operation. President of India speaks to Director, AIIMS to find out the recent pace of health. I pray for their security and speedy recovery. The president's health first began to deteriorate on March 26. At that time, he complained of chest pains, then he was taken to the Delhi-based Army Hospital (research and referral).

There was a routine checkup, and thereafter the doctors referred them to AIIMS for further treatment. Shortly thereafter, he was shifted to AIIMS on the afternoon of 27th March to improve his condition. President Ram Nath Kovind had recently vaccinated by the corona vaccine. He arrived at the Army hospital with his daughter to get the vaccine.
