KURUKSHETRA: President Droupadi Murmu said on Tuesday that Haryana is a shining example of rich history and significant progress steps.
Kurukshetra, the birthplace of the holy Bhagavad Gita, is spreading the light of knowledge across the globe on the one hand, and the state in the nation is receiving unparalleled respect thanks to the government of Manohar Lal Khattar, she said.
The President attended the state-level progressive Haryana exposition during the International Gita Mahotsav (IGM) 2022 taking place on the banks of the Brahma Sarovar in this historic city, along with Governor Bandaru Dattatraya and Chief Minister Khattar.
The President observed artwork that provided proof of Gita teachings at the state-level exhibition put on by the Information, Public Relations, and Languages Department and caught a glimpse of images depicting the valour and contributions of Haryana's heroes to the liberation movement.
The President, while observing the exhibition development plans in the past 8 years, including the history of Haryana, lauded the working pattern of the Chief Minister.
The President referred to the Haryana government's efforts to enhance pilgrimage tourism as "amazing" after viewing photographs of the pilgrim sites and religious components of the historic region of Kurukshetra in the exhibition.
