Chandigarh: President Draupadi Murmu has arrived on a two-day visit to Haryana. She will launch several schemes for the state on Tuesday and Wednesday (29 and 30 November). In this connection, Her Excellency Murmu reached Kurukshetra, where she formally inaugurated the 'Gita Mahotsav' and completed Yagya after reaching Brahma Sarovar. Grand preparations have been made for 'Gita Mahotsav' in Kurukshetra. Under this, the whole area will echo with the verses of the Shrimad Bhagwat Gita.

According to media reports, Her Excellency Murmu was received by Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, and CM Manohar Lal Khattar when she reached Kurukshetra. After this program, she visited Kurukshetra University. There she participated in the 'International Gita Seminar' at the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita Sadan of the University. Along with this, she will gift 3 big schemes to the state. In this, along with the introduction of the Chief Minister's Health Test Scheme, the e-ticketing system in roadways buses in 6 districts of Haryana will be started by President Murmu. Along with this, the President will gift a medical college to the Sirsa district. Its foundation stone will be laid from Kurukshetra itself.

President Murmu will also launch the Chief Minister's Health Survey Scheme. Under this scheme, health checkups of the people of the state will be done. Antyodaya families have been included in the first phase of this scheme. The President will also lay the foundation stone of a medical college and hospital to be built on 21 acres of land in the Sirsa district. On 'Gita Mahotsav (Gita Jayanti)', the Panchkula district of Haryana will be completely Gita-dominated. For this, digital screens have been arranged at each square. The verses of the Gita will appear on this screen.
