In a significant move to enhance accessibility for visitors, President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated a new shuttle bus service on Wednesday. The service will operate between Central Secretariat Metro Station (Gate 4) and Amrit Udyan (Gate 35), facilitating easy transportation for those visiting the renowned garden situated within the premises of Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Formerly known as the Mughal Garden, Amrit Udyan spans an impressive 15 acres and features various sections such as the East Lawn, Central Lawn, Long Garden, and Circular Garden.

The launch coincides with Udyan Utsav 2024, an event aimed at showcasing the diverse flora found within the garden. Open to the public since February 2nd, the festival will run until March 31st.

Described as a landscaping marvel by Rashtrapati Bhavan, this year's Amrit Udyan boasts a stunning array of seasonal flowers including tulips, daffodils, Asiatic Lily, Oriental Lily, and other rare varieties. Visitors can look forward to witnessing intricate floral patterns of tulips and over 100 different types of roses, among other attractions.
