BHOPAL: On November 15, the anniversary of tribal chief Birsa Munda's birth, President Draupadi Murmu will attend the state-level celebration of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas (Tribal Pride Day), which is being held in Shahdol.
On Sunday morning, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan spoke to her and after getting her consent HE shared the information by tweeting.
The Chief Minister left the Pench National Park in the middle of it to travel to Shahdol, where he conducted a conference with the officials to go over the preparations for the President's arrival. The President is also proposed to participate in the Women's Self-Help Group's meet organised at the Motilal Nehru Stadium in Bhopal on November 16.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh said, we are proud of the President's first visit to Madhya Pradesh. On the other hand, representatives of the Chief Minister's Office claimed that it is planned for the President to visit Bhopal after Shahdol.
She can participate in the women's self-help group conference on November 16. State Rural Livelihood Mission Chief Executive Officer M L Belwal said that we have started preparations. More than 15,000 women from self-help groups across the state's districts will take part in the programme.
The state administration will put into effect the rules created under the PESA Act on Tribal Pride Day. This will grant the Gram Sabha local control over employment, land use, forest management, and other sectors in 89 tribal development blocks. Whether or not new booze stores should open in rural regions will be decided by the Gram Sabha. Permission must be sought from the Gram Sabha in order to acquire land.
Information was also sought from the Assembly Secretariat regarding the preparation of the special session, in view of the President's visit to Madhya Pradesh. It was decided that a special meeting of the Legislative Assembly would be held separately under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
