New Delhi: President Draupadi Murmu will present the Prime Minister's National Children's Awards to 11 children at an awards ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan on Monday. PM Modi will interact with the awardees on January 24. 10-year-old Shauryajit from Vadodara will also be given the Children's Award tomorrow. Even after the death of his father while preparing for the National Games, Shauryajit surprised everyone by winning a bronze medal in the competition.

PM Modi shared the video of Shauryajit's performance on social media. The award will be presented to player Shauryajit by the President on January 23 at a function to be held in Delhi. The award was instituted in 1996 to honor children who have achieved exceptional achievements. In 2018, the award has been renamed 'Bal Shakti Puraskar'. The children who receive this award are given cash prizes along with medals.

The National Child Awards are given by the Ministry of Women and Child Development. These awards are given to those children. Who are citizens of India and live in India. Children should be above 5 years of age and less than 18 years of age. National Child Awards are awarded to children who have achieved achievements in the fields of innovation, social work, education, arts and culture, and bravery.
