New Delhi: The Citizenship Amendment Bill 2019 has been approved by President Ram Nath Kovind. Late on Thursday, President Ram Nath Kovind signed the bill, after which the Citizenship Amendment bill has taken the form of law. The Citizenship Amendment Bill was introduced by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the Upper House of Parliament at 12 noon, after which the bill was discussed in the Rajya Sabha.

During this time, opposition parties created a ruckus. The answer to the question of the opposition leaders was answered by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. After this the bill was passed in the Rajya Sabha. Explain that under the Citizenship Amendment Bill, people from Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi and Christian communities who came to India due to religious persecution from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan can apply for citizenship in Indian and gave them citizenship of India Will go.

Let us tell you that Muslim refugees are not included in this. That is why the opposition is opposing this bill. The bill was approved in the Lok Sabha on Monday. On Monday, the Lok Sabha had 311 votes in favor and 80 votes against the bill. The vote was also split on some amendments of the opposition.
