New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party has succeeded in a big victory in the assembly elections 2022 in four states, including UP. They are well aware that the people who have taken advantage of the social welfare schemes have given them a lot of support this time. This is the reason why PM Narendra Modi has directed the Central Ministries to prepare a list of the achievements of the government in the last seven-and-a-half years with regard to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, youth and women. A group of ministers will be set up to study these achievements.
According to the same report, the PMO has sought data from all the concerned ministries as to how many social schemes are running across the country, how many persons have benefited from them and how much budget has been allocated for it so far. The central government's scheme is to promote it across the country. Apart from this, the government has also asked for plans about all the schemes that have a strategy to launch.
An official on condition of anonymity said that in a cabinet meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party on March 9, the PM had spoken about the new scheme and told the ministers present that since his ministries were working for the deprived sections of the society, and a significant part of his annual budget was spent for these categories, So they have to gather their successes and send them to the nodal ministries. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is the nodal Ministry for the welfare of Scheduled Castes, while the Ministry of Tribal Affairs looks after matters relating to Scheduled Tribes. Apart from this, there are separate ministries for women, child development, youth and sports affairs. It is being told that Prime Minister Modi had stressed that all the ministries contribute to the welfare of these categories.
