Prithvi Shaw on Friday night proved once again that U-19 players in India are arguably the best in the world at present. The India Under-19 World Cup-winning skipper scored his maiden fifty in the IPL 2018 match 26 grabbing all eyeballs. 18 years and 169 days, Shaw scored 62 off 44, including 7 fours and 2 sixes, becoming the joint-youngest to score a 50 in the Indian Premier League history.

Worth mention here in 2013, Sanju Samson, playing for Rajasthan Royals, had cracked 63 off 41 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore aged 18 years and 169 days, following Shreevats Goswami (19 years and 1 day).

DD ‘s player Rishabh Pant is second on the list having scored a fifty in 2017 at the age of 18 years and 212 days.

Shaw's fifty gave Delhi the perfect platform to launch a violent attack at the back end of the innings with Newly-appointed DD skipper Shreyas Iyer who replaced Gambhir produced, smashing 93 off just 40 balls to set the huge target of 219 for four.

However, DD bowlers also showed a brilliant game so that Delhi franchise registered a 55-run win in which is second in seven matches of this IPL season.

Shaw also attracted cricket fans from his IPL 2018 debut by scoring 22 off 10 balls against Kings XI Punjab on April 23.
