A traditional wedding will take place on October 9 at a gurdwara in Greater Kailash I for Priya Malik, a former Bigg Boss contestant who appeared in movies like Sheer Qorma. The actress and her family will soon arrive in Delhi after she announced her engagement to entrepreneur Karan Bakshi, who has a business in Delhi. A family event will kick off the wedding celebrations on October 7, and on October 8 there will be a cocktail party, mehendi ceremony, and sangeet. According to Priya, her in-laws' parents were married 40 years ago at the same gurdwara.

"Since Karan's parents live in Delhi, we made the decision to hold the wedding there. Delhi is close to my Dehradun-based family members. We believed that my in-laws would find it meaningful to witness their son getting married in the same gurdwara where they were wed 40 years prior. Also, I've made the decision to wear a dupatta that belonged to my mother-in-law and was worn to her wedding. Our ceremony will be intimate and traditional; it will only include close friends and family members, which is exactly how I've always imagined my wedding to be. I've never been to a Sikh wedding, so it's interesting that I'm getting married in the traditional Sikh manner, and I'm very excited about it," says Priya. and continues, crossing her fingers that it won't rain during the wedding festivities.

Priya reveals additional information, stating that her mehendi and sangeet festivities won't include any Bollywood songs and that the wedding will have a '90s theme. We'll play tappe on the dholki, just like it was done in the past, and Punjabi folk wedding songs. These are the songs that I identify with, and even the majority of my poetry draws inspiration from these age-old folk tunes. In Mumbai, we are also planning a bachelorette party that we are calling "chai, chaat, and gupshup," says Priya. For the wedding, the majority of her Mumbai-based friends will travel to Delhi. After her wedding, the actress will fly to Mumbai to begin shooting, which will begin on October 12.
