The characters of India's first television star Priya Tendulkar are still remembered. She was popular in both Bollywood and the television industry. Today is the death anniversary of Priya Tendulkar. Priya Tendulkar died of a heart attack at the age of 42. She was a famous actress as well as a writer, and dramatist. Priya Tendulkar was born on October 19, 1954, and died on September 19, 2002. Priya was married to actor and writer Karan Razdan but the marriage lasted just 7 years and then broke up. Priya got her real identity in both industries from the TV serial 'Rajini'.

Let me tell you that Priya was fond of acting since childhood because she belonged to a family whose entire family was associated with theatre. Priya used to take part in drama in school since school time. She played the role of a doll in Satyadev Dubey's play 'Hayavadan'. Later, she did Marathi plays like Anji, Kamla, Kanyadaan, Ti Phulrani. Priya played the role of a real husband-wife in the shows 'Rajini' and 'Kisse Miyan Biwi Ke' with her husband Karan Razdan.

Priya was also a very good writer, she had also written many compositions, in which the main ones are Tyacha Prashna and Janamlela. She passed away at a very young age, causing a wave of mourning in the entire industry. She actually died of a heart attack but she also had cancer. On her death, former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji also expressed consolation.
