Lucknow: Congress Party National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has expressed concern over the death of several people due to viral and dengue fever in Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh and some other districts. He said on Friday that all possible health facilities should be provided to the people and concrete steps should be taken to prevent the spread of the disease.

He also asked whether the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh did not learn any lessons from the situation arising during the second wave of corona epidemic. Congress Uttar Pradesh in-charge Priyanka tweeted that the news of death of more than 100 people due to viral fever in Uttar Pradesh needs to be addressed immediately. Has the State Government not learnt any lesson from the catastrophic consequences of its tragic management during the second wave of corona?

Priyanka said that all possible resources should be directed to be used to provide health care to the affected people and concrete steps should be taken to prevent the spread of the disease further. In Firozabad, the death toll due to viral and dengue fever has risen to 47, while the DM has suspended three doctors for negligence in the case. Manish Asija, MLA of Sadar assembly seat, claims that the death toll has reached 61.
