New Delhi: While the Modi government is struggling to bring the economy back on track, allies and opposition leaders are attacking on the government's economic policies. Congress, as well as BJP leader Subramanian Swamy, have questioned the government's policies.
However, Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Vadra has targeted the Modi government. Taking to Twitter, the Congress leader said in Hindi that the GDP rate showed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government, which had promised ‘Achche din’ (good days), has punctured the economy. Priyanka further claimed that neither there’s GDP growth nor is rupee strong against US Dollar. “Jobs are missing,”
On the economic front, the Modi government has suffered a major setback. The growth rate has reached a seven-year low. GDP has reached 5 percent in the first quarter of the current fiscal, compared to 5.8 per cent in the previous fiscal. On the falling growth rate, Congress has cornered the Modi government and questioned the 5 per cent figure.
