Dehradun: To increase tourism, we have to protect the environment, the Himalayas and the Ganges. Work has to be done to create the sanctity and beauty of the Ganga. 50 trees have to be planted on cutting a tree. This was stated by Urban Development Minister Madan Kaushik during the closing ceremony of the Himalayan Family Executive in Parmarth Niketan. The two-day Himalayan Conservation program on thinking and Conciliation held at Parmarth Niketan on Sunday.

According to the information, on this occasion, Swami Chidanand Saraswati said that we do not have any other Himalayas or any other planets, where there are possibilities of life. If we want to keep our life and environment alive then our thinking will have to change. He said that at present, plastic, which is affecting the water, forest and land all over the world. Plastic has bridged the seas and forests. Around 100 million tonnes of waste has reached the oceans worldwide. During the program, Swami Chidanand called on everyone to come together to save the Himalayan heritage.

Sadhvi Bhagwati Saraswati said that to preserve the Himalayas and to maintain the Himalayan ecosystem, the mountains would have to be developed into a Spiritual Hub. The 11 major rivers flowing in India originate from the Himalayas. The Himalayas are the medium to quench the thirst of 65% of India's population. We have to understand that if Himalaya exists then only we can exist. The Himalayas are not only our caretakers but also life-givers. On this occasion, National General Secretary, Himalaya family, Bhupendra Kansal, Vandana Pathak, Bhuvan Bhatt, Raji Singh, Jai Kishan Gupta, Jayanthi Thakur, Sumesh Lilautia, Dr. Rakesh Sharma, Ravi Tyagi, Munesh Dahiya, Rajesh Bajaj, Damayanti Rawat, Sudha Sharma, Raj Sharma, Ajay Wadhwa, Meera Tongaria, Pushpa Rajput, Abhishek Mishra etc. were present.
