New Delhi: Taliban-ruled Afghanistan has now joined the Muslim countries that condemned the expelled BJP spokesperson's derogatory remarks against Prophet Mohammad. There has been an uproar in Islamic countries over the alleged statement. Qatar, Iran and Kuwait were rightly seen by several Gulf countries who had given objection letters to ambassadors condemning the expelled leader's statement from the BJP.
In a statement, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan strongly condemns the use of abusive words against the Prophet of Islam by a leader of the ruling party in India. "We request the Government of India not to allow such fanatics to insult the holy religion of Islam and incite the sentiments of Muslims. The statement comes at a time when a high-level delegation of the Ministry of External Affairs led by Joint Secretary JP Singh visited Afghanistan and met External Affairs Minister Amir Khan Muttaki a few days ago with the aim of restoring relations with the Kabul government. India is providing wheat, medicines and corona vaccine to the people of Afghanistan. The team had also inspected the development projects being run by India there.
