While it appears similar to the standard DualSense, PlayStation's new premium-grade controller is "ultra-customizable," with a swappable thumbstick cap and control mapping.
Pre-orders for the PS5's new DualSense Edge wireless controller will begin Tuesday, October 25 via the PlayStation Direct website. In the United States, it costs $199.99 (approximately Rs.16,467).

The PS5 DualSense Edge is essentially a response to Sony's (late) Xbox Elite series of controllers. This is the first time the company has attempted to make a customizable controller; Previously, players had to rely on third-party gamepads like Scuff Gaming for similar features.
While those guys have proven their hardware prowess, PlayStation is moving forward with software options to create a personalized gaming experience.
As previously stated, the new PS5 DualSense Edge controllers will be available for $199.99 RRP (recommended retail price) and will be available in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg on January 26, 2023. ,
In these countries both the main controller and the replaceable stick module will be available through Direct.playstation.com for $19.99. (approx Rs 1,646).
Starting February 23, 2023, units will be available for purchase at other participating retailers. There's currently no word on India pricing or pre-orders.
The DualSense Edge wireless controller includes a number of hardware and software-based personalization options, such as button remapping, which allows players to disable specific button inputs or adjust analog stick sensitivity.

Players can save their favorite control settings in unique profiles and swap them on the fly once they've found them. Let's say you have lower camera sensitivity on profile 1 for better aiming in FPS games.
Instead of manually adjusting when switching to a narrative-driven title, you can simply set these configurations ahead of time and switch via software.
The DualSense Edge package includes three swappable thumbstick caps and two back buttons, the latter of which adds a competitive advantage by allowing it to be configured to accept additional inputs.

Caps are classified as standard, high-dome, or low-dome, and can be easily replaced to accommodate your palm size and finger alignment. Everything is included in the carrying case, which allows you to charge the controller via USB when not in use, ensuring you're ready for the next play session.
