Goa: Due to a growing case of the corona epidemic in Goa, CM Pramod Sawant announced a curfew in the state from Wednesday night (July 15) to August 10, besides stopping the non-urgent public agitation in the weekend starting from Wednesday.
He warned that those who break the rules will be sent to jail. CM Sawant said that people will have to continue the norms of social distancing. With the exception of the necessary facility in the Janata curfew, every day will run from 8 o'clock in the morning to six in the evening. People working in the work industry at night and those who have a shift in a medical emergency can come. Curfew will continue till August 10, those who break the rules will be kept in jail. CM Sawant said in a press conference on Wednesday that people should be more alert. The government has experienced that people have not followed the norms. 40,000 people have been fined for not wearing masks. CM Sawant has said that it seems that people only know the language of the law. On weekends, the entire lockdown will start from Thursday night to Monday morning. Except the necessary facilities, nothing will be allowed to be opened.
The CM said that the cabinet had corrected the curfew over the weekend to equalize the Covid curve. Active cases in the state have crossed the 1,000-figure mark, in which 18 deaths have been linked. Most cases and deaths have been reported in the past month.
