05 June 2021: On the occasion of World Environment Day, Pujya Morari Bapu today planted five trees during the ongoing Ramkatha in Chitrakoot. Pujya Bapu created awareness among the public about the importance of the environment and inspired everyone by planting five mango trees at Chitrakoot Dham, Madhya Pradesh. He, along with few others, planted the trees and said, “Planting trees is a personal responsibility, and the real challenge is nurturing it. It is for us to see, how well our individual trees grow. But I know that the land of Chitrakoot is most fertile and whatever planted here is bound to prosper.”

On this occasion, Pujya Bapu said that World Environment Day is a day of importance for trees. “We hope to increase the greenery of the country and the earth. I urge everyone to plant trees and if nothing else, water the Tulsi plant. While congratulating the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, on his birthday, Bapu said, "I welcome the initiative of Yogi Adityanath of developing Ramvan in an area of over 35-40 acres where plants of Ramyug will be nurtured. The plants and trees that existed in Ramyug, the same will be planted in Ramvan.” Pujya Morari Bapu shared that their Muni ji, on his 70th Birthday is planning to plant around 70,000 trees, including Rudraksh trees, and that is a great inspiration to all. The purpose of World Environment Day is to spread awareness about the threat to the environment due to rising pollution levels and climate change. The first World Environment Day was observed in 1974, giving a global platform for inspiring positive change in the environment. The theme of this year's (47th) World Environment Day is Ecosystem Restoration as tackling climate change and the loss of species is crucial to the restoration of ecosystems.

On the 8th day of Ram Katha, Pujya Morari Bapu spoke about the five important Vrats in detail. Later in the day, he also narrated in brief the instances of Naamkaran, Dhanush Bhang and Sita Vivaah along with arrival of Parshuram and several other related instances. He ended the day’s katha by reciting snippets from Aranya Kaand, Kishkindha Kaand and Sundar Kaand.
