If everything had gone as per the plan, Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar was supposed to act in D Sathya Prakash’s directorial, which got shelved due to the Covid situation. Puneeth is now backing the project, Man of the Match, which is being helmed by the same director.
Impressed by the storyline, Puneeth Rajkumar, who decided to produce the movie, recently visited the shooting spot in Bengaluru and wished the team good luck. The shooting of the movie, which commenced in the month of April, is almost complete. Man of the Match is director Sathya Prakash’s first attempt in making realistic commercial cinema which has multiple characters and touches upon several burning issues in society. The technical team that worked for Ram Ram Re has been retained for the film. Actors Nataraj, Jayaram and Dharmanna Kadur will be seen in significant roles.
Meanwhile, Puneeth Rajkumar will shoot for action sequences of James which will be canned from July 5. The film marks his collaboration with Chethan Kumar for the first time. The project, which has Priya Anand in the female lead, is bankrolled by Kishore Pathikonda and Charan Raj is the music director.
