According to Election Commission reports, the Aam Aadmi Party  crossed the majority level with 79 seats at 9:45 a.m. in the 117 Punjab Assembly for which the majority mark is 59.

After the results of the second round of counting, Congress' Navjot Singh Sidhu was in second place, SAD's Bikram Majithia was in third place in Patiala Assembly constituency, and Punjab Lok Congress leader and former Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh was in fourth place.From Chamkaur Sahib, Charanjit Singh Channi was lagging.

According to the ECI, Congress had 14 votes, followed by the SAD 7 votes. Navjot Singh Sidhu, the Punjab Congress chairman, was in second place in the Amritsar East constituency, trailing AAP's Jeevan Jotbkaur.

On Thursday, counting for 117 assembly seats in Punjab began at 8 a.m. across the state.On Monday, exit polls indicated a convincing victory for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab, with the magnitude of the party's triumph differing between surveys.

Bhagwant Mann, the AAP's Chief Ministerial candidate, has his home in Dhuri decked with flowers, and Jalebi production has begun even before the counting has began. If AAP wins Punjab, it will be the party's first victory in the state, and a significant improvement from its second-place position in the 2017 elections, when it came in second to Congress.
