Chandigarh: After the heinous massacre in Palghar, Maharashtra, now the news of attack on the saint has come out from Punjab. There is a fatal attack on Swami Pushpendra Swaroop in Hoshiarpur. Some unknown assailants wearing masks attacked the saint with a sharp weapon. Swami Pushpendra Swaroop was resting at the ashram in Hoshiarpur at around 10 pm on Friday night. Meanwhile, 2 attackers entered the wall Phand Ashram and attacked Swamiji. At that time Swami Pushpendra was alone in the ashram.

Swami Pushpendra Swarup was rushed to the hospital in an injured condition. During treatment at the local hospital, he told the police that those unknown assailants tied his hands and feet. Then he attacked and injured them and escaped from the ashram with 50 thousand rupees and some other similar. Swami Pushpendra told the police that the miscreants also strangled him.

Swami Pushpendra Swaroop told the police in his statement that he told the attackers to go away with the money, but don't kill me. Still, the attackers attacked him badly. Along with strangulation, the attackers also hit his head with a sharp weapon, in which he was badly injured.
