Amritsar: In protest against the agricultural law, Punjab CM Capt. Amarinder Singh is protesting in the  birth anniversary of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh. Along with him, ministers, MLAs and workers are also staging a sit-in. Before starting the strike, Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh paid tribute to the statue of Bhagat Singh.

During this, he called the President's approval of agricultural bills as 'unfortunate and disappointing'. Amarinder Singh said that Congress and other opposition parties were not even given the opportunity to express their concerns in Parliament. In such a situation, the acceptance of the President is a setback for those farmers who are protesting against these laws of the Center on the streets. The implementation of these laws will destroy the agricultural sector of Punjab. At the same time, Congress President Rahul Gandhi has described the agricultural law as a punishment for farmers. He wrote in tweeting that 'new agricultural law is a death decree for farmers. His voice is being suppressed in Parliament and outside Parliament. This is proof that democracy has ended in the country.

Earlier, Congress MP from Kerala TN Pratapan challenged the agricultural law in the top court. A writ petition has been filed by Parliament to withdraw the bill related to farmers. TN Pratapan's lawyer Ashish George, lawyer James P Thomas and advocate CR Rekesh Sharma will appear before the apex court.
