Gurdaspur: The number of people who died in a fireworks factory blast in Batala, Gurdaspur, Punjab on Wednesday evening has reached 23. Also 27 other people have been injured in this incident. The Punjab government has announced compensation for the people who died in the accident and the injured. According to Sukhwinder Randhawa, a minister in the Punjab government, the family of each person who dies will be given two lakh rupees as compensation.

With this, compensation of 50-50 thousand rupees has been announced to the injured persons. CM Captain Amarinder Singh will go to Batala this morning to inspect the situation at 11 am. CM Capt Amarinder Singh of the state has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the explosion in the fireworks factory. Also, the injured have been given a compensation of 25-25 thousand rupees.

Along with this, CM Amarinder has directed the police and administration to provide all possible help to the victims and their families. According to the information, the fireworks factory has been completely destroyed due to the explosion. The incident caused chaos in the entire region. Immediately after the incident, firefighting and rescue teams are engaged in relief work. Eyewitnesses are also being told that five members of the factory owner's family were also buried under the debris. Debris is also being removed at the scene with the help of JCB.
